The Coburn Scholarship Fund was created in 2001 by two couples in the congregation with the intention of assisting young adults associated with the membership of the church in obtaining post secondary education. The fund started with a modest $500 in seed money from another ministry of the church, the Coburn Fair Stand. Over the years, through fundraising and donations, the fund has grown to be self supporting, providing 183 scholarships (averaging a total of $3,500 annually) to 64 recipients as of June 2024. In 2024, scholarship opportunities were expanded to include the ability to support those who are attending trade schools and apprenticeships after graduating high school. The committee will announce when applications may be submitted.
